Lily is off to LAMDA

Congratulations to talented BE performer and drama tutor, Lily Welling, who has been accepted into the prestigious London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Lily will head to London to participate in the Semester Programme: Classical Acting - an intensive 14-week study abroad programme running from September 2023 - December 2023.

The semester course is structured around scene study workshops on Jacobean tragedy and Shakespeare’s late plays and comedies.

Lily is well-known in the Canberra theatre community for her performances with a range of companies, including Budding Entertainment, where she most recently played Miss. Havisham in Great Expectations and Myrtle Wilson in The Great Gatsby. Lily has also had lead roles in local films and in productions with Child Players and Canberra Youth Theatre.

For several years, Lily has tutored in drama courses with Budding Entertainment. This semester, Lily will co-direct our children's production of Oliver Twist and will be the assistant tutor in our teen production of Pride and Prejudice.
