This workshop is open to ages 8-17! Get your headshots and hear first-hand advice from talent agent, Kirsty Budding.

Is your child or teen serious about acting, performing and the world of theatre and film? Are they interested in presenting themselves professionally and possibly acquiring an agent for paid opportunities?

This is a focused, exclusive workshop for motivated Canberra performers who are serious about the performing arts and want the resources and knowledge to put themselves forward for new opportunities.

This workshop offers amazing value as students will be photographed by our visiting headshot photographer and receive all copies digitally, AND will connect with like-minded peers and enjoy an inspiring and informative workshop.

Photos shown are from our previous workshop and give a sense of the outdoor style headshots participants will receive.

  • Practise performing a monologue with the guidance of Kirsty Budding.
  • Learn the qualities that endear actors to directors.
  • What is an Acting CV, and what should be included?
  • Receive a list of acting agents and their basic contact info.
  • Learn about the local industry - how do acting agents work?
  • Receive digital, raw copies of headshots after the workshop (minimum of 5).
  • Learn about the broader industry landscape of acting, agents & casting directors in Australia with brief discussion of the US landscape in comparison.
  • See real exemplars of how actors present themselves on casting platforms.
  • Get insider tips on training, networking, finding opportunities, learning when to say yes or no and how to decide, & being a creative entrepreneur.
