In response to overwhelming demand, this new class of Little Women: Christmas Edition has just opened for Term 4! It will run every Sunday, 3.30pm-5pm (90 mins) commencing 23 October ending in a production on Sunday 18th December.

"Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents," grumbled Jo, lying on the rug…”

So begins Louisa May Alcott’s iconic Little Women. Re-imagined in numerous films, the beloved classic has a special place in the hearts of many. Our 2018 and 2020 productions were a huge hit, and we're excited to do it all over again with a new cast seeking a dramatic challenge in this heart-warming story of family, love, creativity and independence.

This production requires both ‘tweens’ to play the younger versions of characters and various other roles, and teenagers to play the older characters.

Traditional male roles - Mr March, Older Laurie, Young Laurie, Friedrich Bhaer, Mr Fields & Mr Dashwood (publishers), Mr Davis, John Brooke (who Meg marries)

Roles for girls & young women - Marmee March, Aunt March,  Jo March , Amy March, Beth March, Meg March, , Young Jo, Young Meg, Young Beth, Young Amy, Hannah (housekeeper), , Mrs Hummel, Minna Hummel, Gretel Hummel, Ms Carroll, Susie Perkins, May Chester, Mr Davis, Annie Moffat, Mrs Kirke, Kitty Kirke, Minnie Kirke, etc.

The course will end in a public production in the 160-seat Belconnen Theatre on SUNDAY 18th DECEMBER.

SUCCESS STORIES!
Abbey Morgan who played Jo March in our 2018 production of Little Women was accepted to drama degree programs at NIDA and WAAPA! Lydia Milosavljevic who played Meg March in the same production went on to play Elizabeth Bennet in our 2019 production of Pride & Prejudice and Maria in Queanbeyan Players’ production of The Sound of Music. Many performers from our 2020 production continue to study their craft with Budding Entertainment.
