As Budding Entertainment continues to grow, we're excited to introduce new creatives who have recently joined the team.
In addition to the wonderful tutors introduced below, we welcomed back Alana Grimley this semester as the director of our teen production of Romeo & Juliet.
We will also welcome guest tutors for our upcoming school holiday workshops including TJ Baker, Laura Clee, and Sophie Charnock.
MEET OUR NEW TEAM MEMBERS


Lily is an experienced young Canberra actor who has enjoyed playing a wide range of characters for stage, films, TVCs and well-known TV shows like Home and Away. Lily is immersed in the Canberra theatre community with a diverse range of credits to her name including Pride and Prejudice, Jasper Jones, The Great Gatsby, Little Girls alone in the Woods and Dags. Lily is in the final stages of a Cert IV in Stage and Screen at Perform Australia and enjoys sharing her passion for performing arts by tutoring children's classes at Budding Entertainment.
Beya is a passionate creative. She has performed in local productions and films including as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz; the Mad Hatter in Alice in Wonderland; Kitty, a cell block girl in Chicago; and Robyn, a rogue detective in a short film produced by her media class at college. Beya is a talented director, editor and writer and is currently utilising these skills as a content creator and streamer for her growing audiences on a range of platforms. Beya enjoys working with young people in our classes and brings a contagious joy to imaginative play.
Remi is a young actress to watch. Her recent screen credits include feature film Remnant (2022) and short film Thanks for Coming (2021), which won Most Memorable Performance (Ensemble) at the Lights Canberra Action Film Festival. Remi's stage credits include Amelia in Everything Real in a Make-Believe World (2021) with Canberra Youth Theatre and Ms. Gatz in Budding Entertainment's The Great Gatsby (2020). Remi completed work experience with Budding Entertainment in 2021 and now tutors across our children's and teen classes.
Vee originally studied theatre at The Drama Studio, Sydney. Her arts experience is diverse; she has won awards for her playwriting at Short+Sweet; directed musicals for schools; written and directed a musical 'Rock Chikz’ which became a short sit-com series on cable TV, New York (2012); and initiated and co-produced ‘Rhymes with Silence’, fifteen plays about mothers and the impact of domestic violence. Vee now works with Short+Sweet International as their Associate Literary Manager. She joins Budding Entertainment as a drama tutor.
