What can I perform?

  • Kids and Teens 5-15: A Monologue from The 100.
  • Senior Teens and Adults 16-25: A Monologue from The 100 OR A Monologue from Paper Cuts.

What can I not perform?

  • Shakespeare. The Shakespearean monologues section has been removed from The 100 PDF below.
  • A monologue from The 100 or Paper Cuts that you have performed on stage before (please select a new piece).

HOW TO FILM VIDEO

  • NO INTRODUCTION! Please go straight into the monologue performance.
  • Please film in LANDSCAPE.
  • Aim for good sound and lighting! 

Paper Cuts Content Warning

  • Paper Cuts contains some monologues with strong language and adult themes. Senior teens ages 16-17, please get your parent's permission and make sure they are comfortable with what you choose to perform.
  • Some of the Paper Cuts monologues are also in The 100, but Paper Cuts versions may be longer or contain swearing.
  • Don't worry about indicated ages or genders - choose whichever monologue you think you could perform brilliantly.

Recommendations

  • All entrants are recommended to read the introduction to The 100 which contains general tips for performers.
  • Optional holiday monologue workshops will soon be available via Zoom. It is not a requirement to attend a workshop.
