WICKEDLY MEAN: Teen Musical Event of 2025!
Are you ready for magic, drama, and all the sass of Mean Girls combined with the spellbinding magic of Wicked? Our original musical parody, WICKEDLY MEAN, takes you to the new setting of Emerald High where a new student with green hair - ELSA - feels likes "no one mourns the awkward".
This show features funny and relevant scenes and musical songs with original twists on Wicked and Mean Girls, combining elements of magic, power struggles, and personal growth with the complex social dynamics of high school. Teen performers joining are strongly encouraged to offer their own insights and ideas to make this show authentic to today's teen experience.
WICKEDLY MEAN explores different facets of contemporary teenage life, including the pressure to conform, the search for identity, and the destructive nature of power when it’s abused.
The Story
Meet Elsa, a brilliant but socially awkward student mocked for her green hair and quirky personality. When she discovers a magical Burn Book in her grandmother's attic, Elsa casts a spell to “reveal the potential others refuse to see.” Overnight, she transforms from outcast to social queen, dethroning Regina and the Plastics.
However, being popular comes at a price as the magic begins to twist her reality. The constant adoration feels hollow, her genuine friends drift away, and she finds herself trapped by the expectations of her newfound popularity. As the spell tightens its grip, Elsa’s powers grow unstable, manifesting as magical outbursts tied to her emotions. Her once-playful magic becomes dangerous, endangering her classmates and herself. To make matters worse, Regina plots to expose Elsa’s secret.
Elsa must confront the truth: the popularity she craved is a façade, and the person she’s become isn’t who she truly wants to be. As Regina plots revenge, Elsa must decide: cling to the façade of popularity or risk it all to embrace her true self.
