This program is suited to young creatives who are self-motivated, reliable, and confident working independently. While support and mentorship are provided throughout, these roles involve taking initiative, being organised, and contributing meaningfully to the creative process. Creative leaders will be given BE tees and take on leadership roles in our courses - when you email, kindly let us know which production appeals to you and what role interests you. You will receive one-on-one mentorship in your chosen role.

Are you ready to take your passion for theatre beyond the stage? Whether you dream of calling the shots as a director, writing your own script, managing the action backstage, or learning the ropes of sound and lighting, this is your chance to step into a leadership role.

Our Creative Leaders Program offers young people aged 14–21 the opportunity to work alongside BE mentors as part of our live productions. You’ll develop hands-on skills in one of the following roles:
• Co-Director – Help shape the vision of a play or musical, guide rehearsals, and lead with creativity and confidence.
• Playwright – Work collaboratively or independently to develop original scenes, monologues, or scripts for performance.
• Stage Manager – Be the backbone of the production, coordinating cast, crew, and cues to keep everything running smoothly.
• Technical Operator – Learn how to run lighting, sound, and AV equipment to bring each show to life behind the scenes, from the rehearsal room to the theatre.

This is more than just a course – it’s a chance to build your portfolio and credits list, grow your leadership skills, and contribute meaningfully to a theatre production in a supportive, hands-on environment.
