"Ghost Train" is a forthcoming horror feature written and directed by award-winning filmmaker Mike Garrick and produced by Becker Entertainment.

Becker Entertainment is a New South Wales based film company with a proven track record in the entertainment industry leading and bringing stories to multiple devices, platforms and audiences.

Collectively the creative team and crew have worked on some of Australia’s most successful feature films and TV programs.

Kirsty Budding of Budding Entertainment is on board as Casting Director for this exciting project.

THE FILM

Nine strangers board a night express train only to discover it is haunted by a malevolent presence hellbent on stalking and murdering the guests. Set in the visually disturbing setting of a modern train that supernaturally transforms to a train from the past, “Ghost Train” is a horror noir film that gradually unfolds a mysterious curse reaching back 100 years.

SHOOTING REQUIREMENTS

Actors will be required for a 20 day shoot around Sydney, NSW and Canberra, ACT. Exact dates TBC, but will be late May and/or June 2024.

The casting search is focused on Sydney and Canberra.

CAST REQUIREMENT

This film requires a strong ensemble cast with a mix of ages and backgrounds. The Director is therefore looking for experienced and versatile professional actors who will own their character, take direction, and foster positive working relationships with cast and crew on set.

CASTING PROCESS

  • The Director will review self-tapes and compile a shortlist.
  • It is advised to submit your self-tape as soon as possible as they will be reviewed by the Casting Director and made available to the Director as they are received.
  • Shortlisted actors will be invited to an in-person session with the Director in mid-April on a date to be confirmed. There will likely be one in-person session in Sydney and another in Canberra.
  • Final Role Offers will be made around late April with filming likely to commence in the second half of May or early June.
